Chelsea Legend Unhappy with Manager Departure

Chelsea Legend Unhappy with Manager Firing

The decision to release Mauricio Pochettino has been a shock to many of the players and coaching staff. One Chelsea legend and current academy coach took to Instagram to express his feelings about the departure. John Terry, longtime defender and team captain during their most successful era, wrote that he is "gutted" by Poch's exit. Chelsea fans share in his hope that players are not bought or sold until the next manager is selected.

If the sporting directors or ownership at Stamford Bridge had any sense, they would listen to the five-time EPL winner. They need to figure out the new manager's tactics and formation so they can collaborate on acquiring players who will fit their style of play. That was one of the problems all of the five managers have had in the last couple of years. They all picked up a squad arranged by the previous manager that didn't fit the formation or tactic. Also, the players couldn't stay fit. Poch was working without Nkunku, Lavia, Fofana, Colwill, Chillwell, and James the majority of the season.

Along with John Terry, players like Nikolas Jackson and Cole Palmer expressed their gratitude to Pochettino on social media. He brought out the best in Cole Palmer while people were doubting the impact he would have on the club. We saw the squad's potential in the last half of the season and fans were optimistic about the future.

I'm going to see the Blue Lions take on Wrexham in Santa Clara, CA at Levi Stadium July 24. I was excited to see Poch with the squad, but the future is in a fog now. It is a hard time to be a Chelsea fan. They won a UEFA title a few short years ago. Chelsea is back in a European tournament. The Pride of London is making comeback hungry as ever.
